Services Available

St. Thomas Community Health Center now offers comprehensive primary and selected specialty care. In addition to comprehensive adult primary care and preventive medicine, we offer full time Pediatric services, Optometry, and Obstetrical services .

Community Asthma screening andasthma management are offerred on a regular basis.

The clinic is the CDC funded Breast & Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program for the metro New Orleans area. Services for this program include breast exams, mammography, gynecologic exams, and colposcopy.

With support of the EENT Foundation, the clinic offers Optometry and specialty referral for Ophthalmologic and Ear Nose and Throat problems.

Through the initial efforts of the Association of Black Cardiologists, the clinic was able to begin offering consultations in Cardiovascular Health. More recently, through a collaboration wiith Ochsner Clinic-Foundation department of Cardiology, St Thomas CHC is a able to provide on-site cadrdiac consultation, and non-invasive testing. Through this collaboration, when necessary, St Thomas CHC patients also now can receive invasive cardiac testing and intervention, including stenting and angioplasty.

Specialists from LSU School of Medicine provide consultations in Rheumatology.

Mental health services are provided through a community partnership with the Sixth Baptist Church, and these include case management and counseling.
