One you might not know about: St. Thomas at L.B. Landry (1200 L.B. Landry Avenue). Like all our other clinics, it’s a full-service primary care clinic for adults and children, open from 7:30 AM – 4:30PM, Monday through Friday.

CDC: 9% of HIV Infections Diagnosed in U.S. are from Drug Injections

Use of syringe services programs (SSPs) has increased substantially during the past decade, but most people who inject drugs still don’t always use sterile needles, according to a new CDC Vital Signs report. Sharing needles and syringes is a direct route of transmission for HIV and hepatitis B and C viruses. Read the full story here.

Nola.com: Oysters are good and good for you
