Hepatitis C
Evaluation
Chronic Hepatitis C infection is more common in the ‘baby boomer’ generation, thus everyone born from 1945 through 1965 should be tested even if they have no symptoms. You should also be tested if you have ever injected drugs, had a blood transfusion before 1992, or have lab tests that show a problem with your liver.
Treatment
Hepatitis C treatment has changed and improved in the past few years. There are now medications available that are taken by mouth for as little as 8 weeks, depending on your situation. These treatments are more than 95% effective in curing chronic infection.
Medication Assistance
Medication assistance programs are available for those without insurance coverage. Our team can work with you to complete the necessary paperwork to help you get your medicines.
