The patient-centered medical home (PCMH) is a model of care that puts patients at the forefront of care. PCMHs focus on relationships between patients and their clinical care teams.

Sexual Health Awareness Month
September is Sexual Health Awareness Month. Louisiana ranks among the top 10 states with the highest sexually transmitted disease rates and New Orleans ranks higher than other cities in the country. Protect your sexual health and talk to your primary care provider about getting tested.
Prevent the Spread of HIV
There are approximately 21,376 people living with HIV in Louisiana. Louisiana remains one of the states with the highest HIV rates, ranking number 2 in 2015. Help us prevent the spread of HIV by getting tested at St. Thomas.
Stay Safe with PrEP
PrEP is an HIV prevention strategy. If you are HIV-negative but are at high risk for contracting the disease, talk to your doctor about starting PrEP. Take control of your sexual health with St. Thomas.
